JAKARTA The South Korean volleyball club, Redmen, which was strengthened by Megawati Hanggetri Pertiwi is scheduled to visit Indonesia for the second time in May 2025.

Director of the Sports Business Fund Management Agency (LPDUK), Ferry Yuniarto Kono, said that currently the visit of the South Korean club is still on schedule. However, their opponents are still being sought.

"While it's still on schedule, we just need to convey that the problem is not the Redmen, but the opponent," said Ferry at the Ministry of Youth and Sports on Friday, March 7, 2025.

Opponent constraints against Redmen emerged because the 2025 Proliga competition still had to last until May 2025. Referring to the official schedule, the highest level league in Indonesia only played the final on 10-11 May 2025.

On the one hand, Redmen have only until early May 2025. This fact makes the team that needs to be prepared to play Redmen will become constrained.

"So, we are discussing with PBVSI (Indonesian Volleyball Association) whether there are opponents who can be collected to later become opponents of the match. Meanwhile, the Redmen are still on schedule," said Ferry.

So far there are two options that have been prepared for the candidate against Redmen later. The two options are players who will compete in the final or other players who do not appear in the final.

Ferry said that the opponents who will be prepared for Redmen will have to be really a commensurate team. So, it takes careful preparation to present Ko Hee-jin's team.

"We also don't let the quality of the Proliga go down because of that, right. We want to make sure that Redmen get the appropriate opponent. On the other hand, it fulfills what we are running," he said.

Redmen had previously visited Indonesia in 2024. At that time, they were present against Indonesia All Stars in the title Fun Volleyball at the Indonesia Arena.
