JAKARTA - Newcastle United want to keep their best players and are not under any financial pressure to separate from key assets.
This was revealed by the Chief Executive of The Magpies, Darren Eales, amid speculation that striker Alexander Isak will join the Premier League giants at the end of this season.
Despite being under contract until 2028, Isak, who has scored 22 goals in 31 appearances in all appearances this season, has been linked with a move to top European clubs, including fellow Premier League clubs Liverpool and Arsenal.
However, Eales said Newcastle intends to open negotiations to extend the contract of the 25-year-old Sweden international player this summer.
"They are all under long-term contracts. We have absolutely no intention of moving all those players. We are not under pressure or anything like that."

"We have an ambitious owner and want the best for the club. So, from that perspective, it would be crazy if we considered it."
"We are trying hard, as a club, to be at the top. We want our best players here."
"I think it shows Isak's value that they're always talking about it. We don't want to get rid of any players," said Eales.
Eales said Newcastle, who are sixth in the Premier League standings and three points behind Manchester City who are in fourth place after 27 games, are excited about the summer transfer window.
Newcastle reported revenues of 320 million pounds for the financial year ending in June 2024, a 28 percent increase from 250 million pounds in 2023. This was driven by higher revenues after returning to last season's Champions League.
"This is a new cycle of (The Regulation of Profits and Sustainability). So, that's good news for us."
"In the end, it's about getting the desired player (manager) Eddie (Howe) in his position. There's a real alignment in that," said Eales.
Previously, it was known that Arsenal became the most ambitious team to bring Isak to the stock exchange this summer.
Mikel Arteta said that the January 2025 stock exchange needed strengthening at the front lines after all of their attackers entered the treatment room.
