Jorge Martin's Comeback Enigma To MotoGP 2025

JAKARTA The stigma of Jorge Martin's return to the 2025 MotoGP track seems to be unanswered. He is expected to be out for a long time after surgery.

Former Sylbal driver Guintoli said that the injury to the Skafoid bone in the Spanish rider's left hand had to take time to fully recover. Therefore, he needs to pull over and don't rush back to compete.

"The injury can take a long time. It's an injury that takes a long time to recover and (of course) hurts if it takes a long time," Guintoli said, as reported by Crash.

Jorge Martin is haunted by nightmares as he prepares to start a new season to keep his world title. He had an accident during his pre-season in Malaysia so he needed surgery in Barcelona, Spain.

Martin had to accept the fact that he could not enter pre-season after the accident happened to him on the first day. He then struggled to return to his opening race in Thailand.

However, another unfortunate hit him. He again had an accident in practice ahead of the 2025 Thailand MotoGP so he had to return to surgery and was forced to miss the first 2025 series.

Guintoli said that Jorge Martin seemed to be missing several races ahead due to a similar injury before hitting the American rider, Joe Roberts.

"This shows how fast things can turn worse. These motorbikes can bite. For Jorge Martin, this is clearly not going well," he said.

Aprilia has crossed out Martin from the second round of the 2025 MotoGP which will take place at the Termas de Rio Hondo Circuit, Argentina, on March 14-16, 2025.

In addition, he is also not yet certain whether to return in the third series taking place at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA), Texas, United States, on March 28-31, 2025.

This situation makes Jorge Martin's efforts to maintain the title somewhat impossible. Moreover, Marc Marquez again showed his spur in the first series and led comfortably at the top of the standings.
