Escaped From The Hole Of Destruction, Manchaster United Holds Everton Draw

JAKARTA - Manchester United avoided defeat after holding Everton 2-2 at Goodison Park on Saturday night WIB. Beto Betuncal and Abdoulaye Doucoure put the hosts in 2-0 lead, but Bruno Fernandes and Manuel Ugarte equalized in the second half.

Manchester United have not won in the last three league games since beating Fulham 1-0 on January 27. One point from Everton's home keeps United 15th with 30 points, while Everton ranks 12th with 31 points, according to the Premier League website.

Everton pressed his visitors from the start. However, the visitors who made their first chance through Rasmus Hojlund in the 13th minute. Hojlund got a ball from Patrick Dorgu's cross in the penalty box but was pushed over by Jordan Pickford.

The hosts opened the scoring in the 19th minute from a corner which led to chaos in the MU penalty box. The ball was then headed by Abdoulaye Doucoure in front of the goal before being kicked in by Beto. This goal was reviewed by VAR because Everton players were considered offside, but the referee finally approved the goal.

Everton doubled the score in the 33rd minute. Jack Harrison's shot was pushed over by Andre Onana, but the ball bounced in to be headed in by Doucoure who won the aerial duel with Harry Maguire.

Manchester United cut the gap in the 71st minute. Bruno Fernandes' fantastic free-kick headed into the bottom right corner of the net which outwitted goalkeeper Jordan Pickford. Score 2-1.

After the goal, United locked up Everton and tried to add goals. They managed to equalize in the 79th minute. Starting from a free kick into the penalty box, the ball was thrown away by Everton players but headed for Ugarte.

The Uruguayan midfielder then fired a volley that Pickford couldn't block. Everton almost scored in the 87th minute. Ashley Young's cross into the forward goal was successfully headed by Beto, but the ball headed right for Onana.

Towards the end of the match, VAR thwarted Everton's potential penalty after Ashley Young fell in Manchester United's penalty box, all of which were considered to have been dropped by United defenders. The referee decided there was no penalty.
