Persija Tengah Dalam Trend Negative Jelang Lawan PSM, Carlos Pena: Pemain Harus Matur

Carlos Pena asked Persija players to continue to be motivated to rise after four consecutive matches without a win (doc. Persija).

JAKARTA - Persija Jakarta coach, Carlos Pena, gave classy messages to his players.

This is related to the team's situation which is in a negative trend ahead of the match against PSM Makassar in the 24th week of Liga 1 2024/2025.

The Kemayoran Tigers are in poor condition before leaving for PSM Makassar. They have not won in their last four matches.

Rizky Ridho and colleagues were only able to draw 3-3 at Persis Solo, 22 against PSBS Biak, drew 2-2 again at home to Persib Bandung, and lost 1-2 when they met Dewa United.

This situation is clearly not profitable for Persija Jakarta. Even so, Carlos Pena emphasized that his team must be mature in facing this situation in order to focus on achieving sweet results.

"As a team, we have to be more mature in order to deal with this situation. We must be able to show our experience more in a situation like this," said Carlos Pena, quoted from Persija Jakarta's official website on Friday, February 21, 2025.

Reflecting on the recent situation, Pena wants Persija's motivation to be maintained ahead of meeting PSM Makassar.

The match will take place at Gelora BJ Habibie Stadium, Parepare, South Sulawesi, on Sunday, February 23, 2025.

"We will remain with the same motivation to continue to advance from match to match. We will start to focus on the next match (vs PSM)," he said.

"We will focus on game after game and we will see how far we will go at the end of the season," said Pena again.
