Costing IDR 274 Billion, Cibubur Sport Center Ready To Use

Coordinating Minister for Regional Infrastructure and Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) while with the Minister of Youth and Sports Dito Ariotedjo visited the Cibubur Youth Elite Sport Center (VOI/Cosmas Kopong Beda).

The construction of the Cibubur Youth Elite Sport Center, which cost a total of Rp274 billion, has now been completed and is ready for use.

The Coordinating Minister for Regional Infrastructure and Development, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), said that this project should have been completed by the end of January 2025 in accordance with what was targeted by the Ministry of Public Works.

"However, of course, I saw that there were some small details that needed to be perfected," AHY said during a visit with the Minister of Youth and Sports Dito Ariotedjo on Thursday, February 13, 2025.

Cibubur Youth Elite Sport Center stands on an area of 8.6 hectares. This is a sports complex with various complete facilities to support the preparation of young Indonesian athletes.

In total, there are at least eight sports facilities available there. Among them are Olympic priority sports such as rock climbing, weightlifting, archery, and badminton.

"Hopefully, after everything can be perfected, the Minister of Youth and Sports will arrange when it can be used and operated," said Agus.

The Cibubur Youth Elite Sport Center will be used to foster athletes prepared to face the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles, United States.

Based on observations at the location, the complex, which is built with international standards, is ready to use.

Several training facilities such as swimming pools, multifunctional sports arenas, rock climbing venues, and archery venues have all been completed.

The Coordinating Ministry for Regional Infrastructure and Development will then hand over directly to the Ministry of Youth and Sports so that this facility is immediately used.

Currently, Kemepora is also conducting a selection for athletes who will be further trained at the facility. The selection is expected to be completed when the handover is carried out.
