Even Though There Is No Competition, Singo Edan Donates 5 Players To The National Team TC For The Preparation Of The SEA Games

JAKARTA - Five team players nicknamed Singo Edan, Arema FC, were summoned to strengthen the Indonesian national team for the 31st SEA Games in Hanoi, Vietnam, on November 21 to December 2, 2021.

Arema FC media staff Sudarmaji said that his party was grateful to the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) for giving trust to Arema FC in the midst of difficult conditions without competition like today.

"In difficult conditions without competition, PSSI still gives confidence to distribute players to the national team," said Sudarmaji in Malang City, East Java, Friday.

The summoning of the five Arema FC players was contained in the PSSI letter numbered 3084 / AGB / 15 / II-2021, which was addressed to Arema FC Manager Ruddy Widodo. The letter was signed by Acting Secretary General of PSSI Yunus Nusi.

The five Arema FC players who were summoned to the national team for training camp in Jakarta on February 8-28 2021 were Bagas Adi Nugroho, Feby Eka Putra, Kushedya Hari Yudo, Hanif Sjahbandi, and Muhammad Rafli.

Sudarmaji added that it is hoped that the summoning of Arema FC players to strengthen the Indonesian national team can be a motivation and enthusiasm for policy makers to provide opportunities for organizing competitions with health protocols.

"Hopefully this will be a motivation and enthusiasm for policy makers to provide an opportunity to hold competitions with health protocol rules," said Sudarmaji.

Sudarmaji advised that the five Arema FC players who were called by the Indonesian national team were expected to be able to maintain their health condition, and remain enthusiastic about fighting for the Red and White in international competitions.

"To the players, keep your condition, keep your spirit for the sake of Red and White," said Sudarmaji.

The Indonesian national team coach, Shin Tae-yong summoned 36 players to attend the training camp in Jakarta on February 8-28, 2021. The composition of the Indonesian national team this time is a combination of U-19, U-22, and senior players.

Several other players who were also called up included, Nadeo Argawinata from Bali United, Erlangga Styo from Persib, Muhamad Riyandi from Barito Putera, Andy Setyo from Tira Persikabo, Arif Setya from Persebaya, and Nurhdidayat H. Haris from Bhayangkara FC.
