JAKARTA - Indonesian women's doubles Greysia Polii / Apriyani Rahayu won the opening match of the Toyota Thailand Open 2021 (Thailand Open II) by eliminating the host pair Puttita Supajirakul / Sapsiree Taerattanachai at Impact Arena, Bangkok, Tuesday.

In that match, Greysia / Apriyani, who just won the Yonex Thailand Open 2021 title last week, brought Puttita / Sapsiree to their knees in three 60-minute games with a score of 21-12, 14-21, 21-8.

In the decisive game, Greysia / Apriyani, the fifth seed, played with enthusiasm. As if they wanted to avenge their defeat in the second game, they appeared fierce and kept pressing their opponents with very strong blows.
