Shin Tae-yong's Response To Seeing Liga 1 2022/2023 Scrolling Again

Jakarta - Liga 1 2022/2023 competition officially resumes on Monday, December 5. The permit from the police is in the hands of PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB) as the operator.

The government also provides support through the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora) and the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Kemenko Polhukam).

Liga 1 is welcome to roll back with a note, without spectators. In addition, the continuation of the competition in the first half was carried out centrally, namely in Central Java and DI Yogyakarta.

The coach of the Indonesian National Team, Shin Tae-yong, clearly welcomed the re-rolling of Liga 1. According to him, the competition must be carried out again for the good of the players, clubs and also the national team.

"The league must indeed roll so that players can improve performance," said Shin, uploaded on the PSSI TV Youtube channel, as reported by Antara, Monday, December 5.

The South Korean tactician emphasized that the league is a place for players to continue to hone their skills. Only then, Shin continued, Indonesia will have a good quality national team.

"When the league developed, the national team developed," said the South Korean national team coach at the 2018 World Cup.

Shin Tae-yong said that one of the most visible impacts when the league stopped was physical. The league holiday for more than two months has left players who have been called up to the Indonesian national team to prepare for the 2022 AFF Cup without maximum fitness.

"The league stopped making players physically plummet. So I had to make training so that the 'fat' was reduced and muscle mass increased. Players underwent weight training at the fitness center and ran more on the field. As a result, it had improved little by little," said Shin.
