JAKARTA - United States boxer Gervonta Davis posted a half-naked photo of Floyd Mayweather before quickly deleting it again. No doubt, the fans were speculating.

The photo was posted on Instagram on Sunday night and deleted very quickly. However, many fans have seen it and have come to a conclusion about Davis' intentions.

The young American star has had a difficult relationship with his Mayweather Promotions mentor since he first became world champion in 2017.

Since then, there have been times where the couple has appeared together in public and there doesn't seem to be any obvious animosity.

There are also times where it is clear that the two are not seeing each other face to face and they have made it clear on social media and in the media.

Prior to his last fight, the boxer nicknamed Tank against Rolly Romero, he publicly announced that his contract was ending and said he would be leaving Mayweather Promotions in the near future.

After his KO win, no such split has occurred and it appears Gervonta is still working with the company - led by CEO Leonard Ellerbe - to plan his next fight.

But now, he's once again using social media to disrespect Floyd in a less subtle way.

On Sunday night, he posted a series of photos on Instagram, one of which was a photo of Mayweather edited to look as if he wasn't wearing trousers.

The American boxer faced jail for an alleged hit-and-run in November 2020 after a judge rejected a plea deal.

Previously, Davis received a deal which meant that he would not have to go to jail, but later that was rejected at trial. The trial is scheduled for December.
