JAKARTA - The manufacturer's Ducati rider Jack Miller is dominant to win the Japanese Grand Prix at the Motegi Twin Ring Circuit on Sunday, as his team-mate Francesco Bagnaia fell on the final lap.

Miller started at P7 and needed just four laps to take over the race lead.

Being at the forefront, the Australian did not encounter any significant challenges and shot away from his opponents before completing the 24-lap race 3.409 seconds ahead of Brad Binder from the KTM team.

Reporting from Antara, it was Miller's fourth career in MotoGP, which last tasted the top podium at Le Mans 2021.

Pramac driver Jorge Martin could not survive the onslaught of the KTM rider due to the ferocity of the tires at the end of the race and had to settle for finishing P3, according to the official MotoGP website.

Meanwhile, polesiter Marc Marquez, who at the last moment shifted to soft rear tire ahead of the start, failed to get the grip he needed to launch after the red light went out.

Drama occurred on the final lap as title challenger Francesco Bagnaia tried to attack rival main Fabio Quartararo for P8 on the final lap, but the Ducati rider made a mistake at bend 3 while trying to overtake from the inside, losing grip and falling.

Losing a valuable point, Bagnaia gave himself a sarkastic applause for the huge mistakes he made in the title race this season.

The GP Aragon champion, Esea Bastianini, benefited from the incident experienced by her prospective team-mate in Ducati to finish P9 and rookie VR46 Marco Bezzechi complete the top ten.

Aprilia Aleix driver Espargaro, who was supposed to start at P6, was forced to return to the garage after a warm-up due to technical problems in his riding and switching to a spare motorbike to start the race from the pit lane and finish the race in P16.

The P8 Finis at a time when its two main rivals failed to get points; Bagnaia who DNF and Espargaro finished outside the points zone, Quartararo kept the lead at the top of the standings with a collection of 219 points, now 18 points ahead of Bagnaia and 25 points from Espargaro with four races remaining.
