Allegedly Doing Domestic Violence, NBA Star Miles Bridges Was Arrested By LA Police

JAKARTA - NBA star Miles Bridges is reported to have been in detention after being arrested by the Los Angeles police for an alleged case of domestic violence (KDRT). However, the latest reports say the player has resumed his regular schedule on Thursday, June 30, local time.

As reported by TMZ, Bridges seems to go to the gym in LA to work out. He was seen doing some jumper drills and seemed unperturbed by what had happened earlier.

It should be noted that the 24-year-old forward was detained by the police after turning himself in. He is suspected of committing domestic violence against his partner.

A police source told TMZ that a woman claimed to have had an argument with Bridges which turned into physical violence. The woman also needed medical attention as a result of the incident.

Bridges was later arrested on Wednesday, June 29, afternoon local time. However, he was reportedly released after paying $130,000 worth of bail.

This case further colors the puzzle of the future of the player who was brought to the NBA in 2018. As is known, Bridges will have spent his first four seasons with the Charlotte Hornets.

He is expected to be the top free agent target in the current market. However, the Hornets are said to remain the main candidate.

GM Hornets Mitch Kupchak once said his team was planning to extend Bridges' contract. He said he really liked the player.

"We will re-sign him. He has done well for this team and I believe with his work ethic, he will get even better," said Kupchak.

However, the Hornets reportedly changed their minds after this case of domestic violence emerged. The club has issued a statement regarding this matter.

According to TMZ, the Hornets said they were aware of the situation. They are in the process of gathering additional information.

"We will have no further comment at this time," the club said in a statement.
