COVID-19 Update As Of October 30: 239,386 Specimens Examined, New Cases Increase By 620

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. From a total of 239,386 specimens examined, the results showed the addition of 620 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 4,243,835 and active cases are 12,309," said Ministry of Health data, Saturday, September 30.

Today's recovered cases increased by 698 cases, bringing the total to 4,088,133 people recovered. Then, positive confirmed cases who died increased by 27 people and a total of 143,388 people.

The province with the most new cases was in West Java with 143 cases and a total of 705,729 cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta which has 96 new cases with a total of 861,427 cases. East Java has 81 new cases and a total of 398,211 cases. Then, Central Java has 65 new cases and a total of 485,056 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 144 recovered cases. Followed by East Java with an increase of 70 recovered cases, Central Java with an additional 62 recovered cases, and South Sulawesi with an additional 47 recovered cases.

There is one province that reported no new cases today, namely West Papua. In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 46,524,399.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 0.45 percent," said the data.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, was recorded at 6,980 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

Furthermore, currently there are 119,151,818 people who have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 73,290,668 the second dose of vaccination. Then, the third dose of vaccination was 1,130,382. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
