The Action Of Showing Off The Money Of The Tebingtinggi Police Chief's Wife In The Middle Of Rules That Prohibit Police Members From Having A Luxury Lifestyle

JAKARTA - A woman is in the spotlight on social media. He seemed arrogant with the act of showing off money.

The woman's name is Eci Agus Sugiyarso. She is the wife of a member of the National Police or more precisely the Chief of the Tebingtinggi City Police, AKBP Agus Sugiyarso.

The identity of Eci Agus Sugiyarso as the wife of a member of the National Police was revealed in a video uploaded to the TikTok account @ecimot512. He was seen wearing a T-shirt with the Tribratra logo.

Police Chief's Reaction

One of the parties who responded to the action of showing off Eci's money was the North Sumatran Police Chief Inspector General Panca Putra Simanjuntak. He said he would investigate the matter.

"I'll check later, it's not allowed. Is it a habit of showing off money for what? I'll check," said Inspector General Panca, Friday, October 29.

Inspector General Panca reminded to be careful when using fingers in social media.

"Be careful using your fingers, not only to the police, to the public as well. Maybe a photo showing off money, is it really showing off? We will prove it later," he continued.

He reiterated that his party would explore the purpose of the wife of the Tebingtinggi Police Chief who showed off some money and uploaded it on social media.

"But, be careful using your fingers. It can lead to multiple interpretations, I will look into it. If that happens, just trust me, I will investigate. Why is it really showing off money and what is the purpose, is it true or not showing off money, later we will will look into it," he said.

Luxury Style Ban

The act of showing off money by Eci Agus Sugiyarso could be considered a violation. Because, there are rules that prohibit members of the police from living a luxurious lifestyle.

The regulation is contained in the Telegram Letter Number ST/30/XI/HUM.4.3/2019 dated November 15, 2019. In which, the National Police Chief Listyo Sigit Prabowo issued it while serving as the Head of the Propam Police Division.

The rule also contains seven points regarding the application of a simple lifestyle without a luxurious lifestyle.

First, not showing, wearing, showing off luxury items in everyday life, both in social interactions at work and in public areas.

Second, always take care of oneself, placing oneself (with) a simple lifestyle in the internal environment of the National Police and in social life.

Third, do not upload photos or videos on social media that show a hedonistic lifestyle, because it can cause social jealousy.

Fourth, adjusting legal norms, compliance, appropriateness to the conditions of the living environment. Fifth, use the attributes of the National Police in accordance with the division, for leveling.

Sixth, the leadership, Kasatwil, officers can provide examples of good behavior and attitudes (by) not showing a hedonistic lifestyle, especially Bhayangkari and the Polri extended family.

Seventh, strict sanctions are imposed on members of the Police who violate.

Propam Hands Down

This problem is really taken seriously. This is because Eci Agus Sugiyarso is being investigated intensively by the Propam Polda North Sumatare.

The Head of the Tebingtinggi Police, North Sumatra, AKBP Agus Sugiyarso also agreed that Propam would conduct an examination of his wife. He gave up the handling of the matter completely.

"Currently an examination has been carried out by the North Sumatra Police Propam Bid," said Agus.

It's just that AKBP Agus was reluctant to discuss this further. He stated that all developments in problems involving his wife would be conveyed by the Propam Division of the North Sumatra Police.
