Bad Management, Billions Of Debt Is The Reason For The Regent Of Pessel, West Sumatra To Fire Director Of M. Zen Painan Hospital

SUMBAR - The Regent of Pesisir Selatan Regency (Pessel), West Sumatra, Rusma Yul Anwar dismissed the Director of the Regional Hospital M. Zen Painan, dr. Sutarman. Sutarman is considered unable to manage the Regional Public Service Agency properly.

According to Rusma, so far the management is considered wrong in managing the hospital, resulting in debts worth billions of rupiah. In fact, there are many reports from the public regarding the poor performance of management.

"So I don't want to hear about the hospital's debt that reaches billions of rupiah," the regent told reporters after the inauguration of echelon II, III and IV officials in Painan, Antara, Friday, October 29.

The position of director was then held by dr. Hareva previously was a specialist in internal medicine. He has also served as Chairman of the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI) and Secretary of IDI West Sumatra.

The Regent assessed, dr. Hareva has high integrity. In addition to financial problems, other problems are currently happening at the hospital. M. Zen is the rarity of medicine.

"In fact, it has been in the spotlight of the DPRD some time ago during the plenary session of the 2021 Revised APBD," explained the regent.

Separately, the former Director of M. Zen Hospital, dr. Sutarman admitted that the BLUD debt reached billions of rupiah due to the high cost of handling COVID-19 patients.

So far, the handling has been using RSUD cash, while the Ministry of Health has yet to pay claims for the acceleration of handling COVID-19 with a nominal value of IDR 40 billion.

"We have submitted bills many times, but there is still no response from the ministry," said Sutarman.

Even though the management has informed the local government, but there is no response and seems to be giving up. "The local government said it didn't want to know about it," said Dr. Sutarman.
