DENPASAR - A viral video of a woman from Gunungkidul, DIY, was caught stealing from a resident's house in Banjar Sawah, South Denpasar, Bali. This woman was taken to the hall and surrounded by many residents.

According to the victim's statement, the woman ruffled the cupboard when the owner of the house went to the toilet. This woman was immediately taken into custody by the residents with the help of pecalang.

The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the South Denpasar Police, AKP Hadimastika Karsito Putra, confirmed the incident. The perpetrator has the initials LM (26), a housewife.

"The motive is economic needs, the method is by entering an unlocked room for zero loss," said AKP Hadimastika, Friday, October 29.

The attempted theft took place at Ni Wayan Yuliartini's house in South Denpasar. The attempted theft was carried out during the day.

At that time, the perpetrator came riding his motorbike and entered the victim's house which was empty. Then the perpetrator entered the victim's room because he saw the door to his room was slightly ajar.

After that, the perpetrator opened a cupboard drawer at that time the perpetrator was caught by the witness and locked from the outside then the witness called the local residents after that the perpetrator was arrested

"As a result of the interrogation, the perpetrator admitted that he entered the room and opened a cupboard drawer with the intention of stealing. The perpetrator admitted that he had previously committed theft by taking IDR 150,000 in the same mode," said Hadimastika.
