Kapuas Hulu Prosecutor's Office Immediately Drags Suspects In Bunut Hilir Terminal Construction Project, Siphons IDR 1.69 Billion Regional Budget But Stands Up

KALBAR - The District Attorney (Kejari) of Kapuas Hulu, West Kalimantan (Kalbar) immediately named a suspect related to the alleged corruption case in the construction of the Bunut Hilir Terminal, Kapuas Hulu, West Kalimantan in 2018.

"Currently, we are looking for and collecting at least two pieces of evidence, with which evidence will shed light on the crime and find the suspect," said Head of the Intelligence Section of the Kapuas Hulu District Attorney's Office, Adi Rahmanto, in Putussibau, Antara, Thursday, October 28.

The case was handled by the Special Investigation Unit of the Kapuas Hulu District Attorney's Office. During the investigation stage, several parties were asked for information, both from the Kapuas Hulu Department of Transportation, supervisory consultants and implementing contractors.

Including the examination of a number of documents related to the downstream tail terminal construction activities.

The construction of the Bunut Hilir Terminal was sourced from the 2018 Kapuas Hulu Regional Revenue Budget (APBD) at the Kapuas Hulu Department of Transportation with a contract value of Rp1.69 billion and a contract period of 120 days which lasted from September 4, 2018 to December 31, 2018.

Adi explained, because it could not be completed in accordance with the agreed time period in the contract, the contractor was then given the opportunity to complete the work but it was still not completed.

In October 2019, the Kapuas Hulu Department of Transportation terminated the contract for the construction of the Bunut Hilir Terminal.

"Currently the condition of Bunut Hilir Terminal is neglected and not maintained," said Adi.
