Rp70 Million Tiger Skin Seller Arrested At Jalan Bireuen Aceh Gas Station

ACEH - A joint team from the Law Enforcement Center of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry with the Natural Resources Conservation Agency (BKSDA) and the Aceh Police arrested three Sumatran tiger skin sellers in Bener Meriah Regency, Aceh.

Head of the Law Enforcement Center of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry for the Sumatra Region, Subhan, said that of the three people arrested, two of them were named suspects.

"The two suspects, with the initials MAS (47) and SH (30). While the evidence was secured, namely a piece of whole tiger skin with a skull attached to the skin, a cell phone, car, and paint packaging," said Subhan in Banda Aceh, Wednesday, October 27.

Subhan said the perpetrators were arrested at a public gas station (SPBU) on Jalan Bireuen-Takengon, Gegerung Village, Wih Message District, Bener Meriah Regency.

The arrest of the tiger skin seller, said Subhan, began with information from the public who said that someone offered a tiger skin for Rp. 70 million.

"Based on this information, the joint team disguised themselves as buyers. The perpetrators were caught red-handed while showing the tiger skin.
