Stress For Too Long With Lung Disease, This Man Wants To Commit Suicide Jumping From The 4th Floor Of The Hospital

JAKARTA - A young man suspected of being depressed tried to commit suicide from the balcony of the 4th floor of the Menteng Mitra Afia Hospital, on Jalan Kali Pasir, Kebon Sirih Village, Menteng District, Central Jakarta.

Luckily, the suicide attempt by the young man with the initials AR (29) was successfully thwarted by officers from the Central Jakarta Fire and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-dept.

"The victim was successfully evacuated by Central Jakarta Gulkarmat officers in safe condition. The suicide attempt was carried out from the 4th floor of the hospital," said Head of Central Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. Asril Rizal when confirmed by VOI, Wednesday, October 27.

It was later discovered that AR was a resident of Kramat Village, Senen District. He is a patient suffering from internal medicine.

"It is suspected that the perpetrator of the attempted suicide was depressed because he suffered from chronic lung disease. He asked to be accompanied by his family at the hospital," he said.

The rescue efforts have paid off. Officers persuaded the perpetrator of the suicide attempt to give up his intention.

"Alhamdulillah, AR victims survived," he said.
