Rachel Vennya Soon To Be Checked By Police Again

JAKARTA - The Jakarta Metro Police will in the near future examine Rachel Vennya again in the case of escaping from the Pademangan Athlete's Wisma, Jakarta.

"Later on, our follow-up plan will prepare the administration as soon as possible to summon the person concerned again for us to conduct an investigation," said the Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Yusri Yunus to reporters, Wednesday, October 27.

The case of Rachel Vennya's escape from quarantine has been escalated to an investigation based on a case title.

"This morning, the case was held, I just finished getting the information. The case title and the result was that the investigation was raised to an investigation," said Yusri.

The status of the investigation indicates that the police have found elements of a criminal act in the case of Rachel Vennya's escape from quarantine. The police will identify the suspect.

In this case, Rachel Vennya is suspected of violating Law No. 4 of 1984 concerning Infectious Disease Outbreaks and Article 6 of Law No. 6 of 2018 concerning Health Quarantine.

"So we have raised it to the level of investigation, the suspicion regarding quarantine and disease outbreaks carries a threat of 1 year in prison," said Yusri.

Rachel Vennya is known to have run away while undergoing quarantine at the Wisma Atlet COVID-19 Emergency Hospital (RSDC) after a vacation from abroad.

Kodam Jaya as the Command of the COVID-19 Integrated Joint Task Force delegated the case of Rachel Vennya's escape to the Police.

In the process of investigation by the Jaya Regional Military Command found the involvement of two members of the TNI who served in the Soekarno Hatta Airport Security Task Force, Tangerang, Banten, and Wisma Atlet Pademangan. They allegedly arranged for celebrity Rachel Vennya to escape quarantine after returning from overseas.
