Two TransJakarta Accidents On Jalan MT Haryono, 31 People Injured, 2 People Including Driver Died

JAKARTA - Two TransJakarta buses were involved in an accident on Jalan MT Haryono, East Jakarta. As a result of the accident, the driver and passenger died.

"It is true that there was an accident this morning. 31 were injured and 2 died, including the driver and passenger," said Head of Sub-Directorate of Bin Gakkum Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya AKBP Argo Wiyono to reporters, Monday, October 25.

Dozens of injured victims, continued Argo, have been rushed to the nearest hospital. Meanwhile, the victim was taken to the Police Hospital, Kramat Jati

"So those who died were taken to Kramat Jati. If there were 31 injuries, they were brought to Budi Asih," he said.

On the other hand, regarding the cause of the accident, Argo stated that the results of the investigation and examination of witnesses were caused because the driver who was the victim died of sleepiness. So, can not control the bus.

"So the suspicion is that the driver is sleepy because of information from the witness, the employee just left the pool at 3 in the morning, probably sleepy because there is no brake at all," said Argo.
