JAKARAT - The Garuda Indonesia Employee Union (Sekarga) hopes for all stakeholders to support the rescue of the national airline Garuda Indonesia. Garuda Indonesia is not only an airline that serves passengers and cargo, but also as the pride of the nation which is also the nation's ambassador in the eyes of the world.

"We really hope that all stakeholders and the nation's children support the rescue of the Garuda Indonesia Flag Carrier. Especially to the government as the owner of 64.54 percent of the shares, we hope that they can support the rescue of the Garuda Indonesia Flag Carrier," said Sekarga Daily Chair, Tomy Tampatty in a statement monitored in Jakarta. , Saturday 23 October.

Tomy said that Sekarga had also sent a Garuda Indonesia Rescue Proposal to President Joko Widodo and the Minister of SOEs as a form of internal responsibility.

He said, as a manifestation of the internal sense of crisis within Garuda Indonesia, his party had made efficiencies including cutting the income of all Garuda Indonesia employees by 25 to 50 percent since the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 until now.

Tomy also asked all parties not to issue statements that could reduce the trust of parties who have business relations with Garuda Indonesia, the trust of loyal customers, and the work spirit of Garuda Indonesia Group employees.
