Five Health Workers In Magetan Positive For COVID-19

JAKARTA - During the COVID-19 pandemic, five health workers in Magetan Regency, East Java tested positive for COVID-19. Of the five people, two were declared cured.

"Until now there have been five health workers in Magetan who have been confirmed positive for COVID-19. Of the five people, two of them have recovered," said Head of the Team for the Task Force for Handling COVID-19 from the Magetan Health Service, Didik Setyo Margono, as reported by Antara, Monday July 27th.

According to the data, the five medical personnel came from Plaosan Subdistrict, two people, Poncol one person, Kawedanan District, and one person from Takeran.

"Those who are still positive are currently undergoing independent isolation in their respective homes," he said.

Margono explained that those concerned are allowed to carry out independent isolation because the health office thinks they understand health protocols so that isolation can be carried out in their respective homes.

He further said that medical personnel, including those who are prone to contracting the corona virus, this is because they are at the forefront of handling patients who are suspected or have tested positive for COVID-19.

He hopes that the number of health workers and residents in Magetan who contracted COVID-19 does not increase. For this reason, residents in Magetan are asked to be disciplined in implementing health protocols in their daily life.

Based on the updating of the COVID-19 distribution map in Magetan Regency, Monday, July 27 2020, at 19.00 WIB, there were 155 people who confirmed positive for COVID-19, consisting of 108 people recovered, five people died, and the rest are still being treated. In addition, there were 68 suspects and 42 people under monitoring.
