The Banjarnegara Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) reported that the landslide occurred during heavy rain on Thursday, October 21.

Abdul Muhari said that there were three villages in three sub-districts that were affected by the landslide, namely Mlaya Village in Punggelan District, Karekan Village in Pagentan District, and Susukan Village in Wanayasa District.

As for the material losses caused by the landslide incident, one housing unit was damaged. Then, the road connecting Karekan Village to Darmayasa Village was covered by landslides and could not be passed.

"The road section between Wanayasa Village and Dawuhan Village, or rather near the tomb in Susukan Hamlet, Susukan Village, Wanayasa District, is also impassable because it is covered by landslide material with a length of approximately 20 meters," he explained.

Abdul Muhari said, the Banjarnegara Regency BPBD had coordinated with relevant agencies to make efforts to accelerate the handling and management of the landslide disaster.

"In addition, further data collection, clearing of mud material, opening of routes and evacuation of victims are also continuously maximized," he said. tall.

InaRisk records that at least 20 sub-districts are exposed to the risk of landslides with an area of up to 52,593 hectares.

"Seeing the results of weather forecasts and InaRisk risk studies, BNPB appeals to regional policy makers to immediately take steps to mitigate and improve preparedness for potential hydrometeorological disasters that can be triggered by weather factors," he concluded.
