If Bitten By A Snake In Depok, Come Immediately To 11 Health Centers And Hospitals To Get 'Sabu'

JAKARTA - The Depok City Health Service (Dinkes) has provided anti-venom serum (shabu) at the Service Technical Implementation Unit (UPTD) of the Public Health Center and the Depok City Regional General Hospital (RSUD). Residents can use methamphetamine if they are bitten by a snake.

Head of Disease Prevention and Control (P2P) Depok City Health Office, Umi Zakiati said, if someone was bitten by a snake, they were asked to immediately take them to an existing health facility. For further treatment with methamphetamine.

"Immediately take him to the nearest Puskesmas, RSUD, clinic or hospital for intensive treatment," said Umi, quoted from the Depok City Government's official website, Thursday, October 21.

There are three types of methamphetamine available. Namely the Javan cobra (Naja Sputatrix), the earth snake (Calloselasma Rhodostoma) and the weling snake (Bungarus Candidus). All methamphetamine is available in 11 health centers and hospitals.

The 11 health centers include the UPTD of the Cilodong Health Center, the UPTD of the Sukmajaya Health Center, the UPTD of the Cimanggis Health Center, the UPTD of the Tapos Health Center, and the UPTD of the Bojongsari Health Center. Furthermore, the UPTD of the Cinere Health Center, the UPTD of the Beji Health Center, the UPTD of the Pancoran Mas Health Center, the UPTD of the Ratu Jaya Health Center, the UPTD of the Kedaung Health Center, and the UPTD of the Limo Health Center.

Umi said other health facilities that needed methamphetamine could contact the nearest Puskesmas or RSUD. Because, methamphetamine is only provided in 24-hour health centers and hospitals.

"For efficiency, we provide 24 hours at the Puskesmas if there are cases of snake bites at night so they can be handled immediately," he concluded.
