Celebrity Rachel Vennya's Escape Case Will Be Submitted To The Police

JAKARTA - Kodam Jaya as the Command of the COVID-19 Integrated Joint Task Force plans to delegate the case of Rachel Vennya's escape from quarantine at the Wisma Atlet COVID-19 Emergency Hospital (RSDC) to the Police.

"Due to the civilian issue, the matter will be delegated to the police from Kodam Jaya," said the Head of Information for the Kodam Jaya, Air Defense Artillery Colonel (Arh) Herwin BS in Jakarta, as reported by Antara, Thursday, October 15.

Kodam Jaya found an individual member of the TNI who served in the Security Task Force at Soekarno Hatta Airport, Tangerang, Banten, allegedly arranging for the Rachel Vennya program to escape quarantine after returning from abroad.

"During the investigation of the case, it was found that there were allegations of non-procedural actions by unscrupulous members of the Soetta Airport Security TNI with the initials FS," said Herwin

Herwin revealed, from the results of the temporary investigation, it was found that FS arranged for Rachel's program to avoid the quarantine procedures that must be passed after traveling from abroad.

Previously, the Polda Metro Jaya revealed that they were studying the case because their authority was still under the command of the Kodam Jaya.

"We are still analyzing whether it is still under the authority of the COVID-19 Task Force or if we need other law enforcement, we are still reviewing it," said Director of General Crime Investigation of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Pol. Tubagus Ade Hidayat.

Tubagus said that currently the Police have not taken any action regarding the case.

"Yes, we are still seeing whether it is necessary to make a model A report or is it still within the capacity of the task force that handles it. We don't know yet, there has been no legal action from us," he said.
