JAKARTA - Social media activist Denny Siregar was one of the guest stars presented by Deddy Corbuzier in the podcast. In front of Deddy, Denny told that he had met President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and saw his anger firsthand.

The incident took place when Denny had not been involved in the world of Youtube as it is today. At that time, Denny was called to appear along with several other people.

"I met him once in a condition where he (Jokowi) didn't know me, did you, at that time. He told many things to us who were invited at that time. I'm still a writer and haven't been on Youtube," said Denny in the Deddy Podcast which was uploaded on the channel. Youtube @Deddy Corbuzier, Tuesday, 12 October.

Jokowi, claims Denny, told about the big demonstration in 2016-2017 with the tagline 212. The demonstration demanded that Basuki Tjahaja Purnama alias Ahok be imprisoned for allegedly committing blasphemy against Islam.

Denny said Jokowi was angry with the demonstration. "He (Jokowi) told the story, not defending anyone. But he told me, do you know how much money the government has spent just to provide security so that the demonstrations don't become violent? IDR 100 billion per day," explained Denny.

"Wowwww, 100 billion? 100 billion,?" replied Deddy surprised.

"You know what Pak Jokowi said? Imagine with that fund how many health centers can I build? How many roads in remote areas can I make? And this is wasted just for something that is useless," said Denny.

Denny asserted that Jokowi was only thinking why holding a demonstration with such a large state budget just for security purposes. It is better with the existing funds, used for development in Indonesia.
