Prabowo Runs For Presidential Candidate Again, PKB Wants To Match With Cak Imin

JAKARTA - The National Awakening Party (PKB) welcomes the possibility of Gerindra Party chairman Prabowo Subianto running again as a presidential candidate in the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres).

Deputy Chairperson of the PKB DPP Election Winning Division, Jazilul Fawaid, said that the certainty of Prabowo's return as a presidential candidate for the third time made the political direction more mapped.

“PKB is happy if Pak Prabowo runs for president again. At least we can measure the situation from past experiences," said Jazilul Fawaid to reporters, Tuesday, October 12.

According to him, it is not impossible if PKB forms a coalition with the Gerindra Party. "The PKB coalition with Gerindra is open, but slowly agendas and figures that are expected by the people must be drawn up," said Gus Jazil. he acknowledged that there was a desire from the cadres and administrators of the DPC and DPW PKB so that in the upcoming 2024 presidential election his party could nominate Cak Imin alias Gus Muhaimin as a presidential candidate. with other political parties," he said.

Therefore, the PKB opens all possibilities to communicate with other political parties, including later to discuss the presidential and vice presidential pairs. "The Muhaimin-Prabowo pair maybe or the Prabowo-Muhaimin pair could happen. The important thing is to win the hearts of the people and win to receive the mandate," said the Deputy Chair of the Indonesian People's Consultative Assembly.

Gus Jazil emphasized that PKB as a moderate party can open communication with any political party. Including Gerindra. “So far, we have also kept in touch with other political parties. And PKB is quite well received, even so far it has always been a determinant of victory," he concluded. Previously, the Secretary General of the Gerindra Party DPP Ahmad Muzani said that Prabowo would certainly run for president in the upcoming 2024 presidential election. His progress is because the people's expectations are so high, development must continue, our dreams of a party have not been realized," said Muzani during the coordination meeting of the Gerindra DPD South Sulawesi, Sunday, October 10.

Muzani said that although there had been no direct statement from Prabowo, the aspirations of the Gerindra Party cadres would continue. "By not preempting his answer, I say once again, God willing, Pak Prabowo will run in the 2024 presidential election," he said.
