JAKARTA - The Charta Politika Institute released the results of their latest survey entitled "3 Month Trends in Political, Economic and Legal Conditions during the COVID-19 Pandemic". As a result, there were 12 ministers in the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet who were said to have performed well.
In the first position, 12.8 percent of respondents rated Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto as having performed well. Then in second place, 11.5 percent of respondents rated Sri Mulyani Indrawati as performing well during her tenure.
Continuing in the third position, as many as 5.8 percent of respondents rated Erick Thohir as having a good performance during his tenure as Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN).
Fourth, as many as 4.6 percent of respondents to the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menkopolhukam) Mahfud MD performed well. Finally, in fifth position there is Minister of PUPR Basuki Hadimuljono, who said that 4.2 percent of respondents had the best performance.
Meanwhile, 44.4 percent said they did not know.
Furthermore, the Executive Director of Charta Politika, Yunarto Wijaya, explained that the respondents considered the 12 ministers to have the best performance because of their high recognition rate.
"Most of the names that appear are those that have a high level of recognition or their ministry posts are under the media spotlight during the COVID-19 pandemic," said Yunarto when presenting the results of his survey through the Charta Politika YouTube account, Wednesday, July 22.
He said that the names of the ministers who appeared were mostly spontaneous from the respondents considering that the question was asked in an open manner.
"So we don't include the choice. So, don't be surprised if the name Susi Pudjiastuti comes out at 1.7 percent," he said.
In the survey, although Susi is no longer the position of Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, her name is still higher than that of Minister of Foreign Affairs (Menlu) Retno Marsudi, Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto, and Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung.
The Charta Politika survey was conducted on July 6-12 through telephone interviews and involved 2,000 respondents with the criteria of 17 years or qualifying as election voters. The survey method used was simple random sampling with a margin of error of 2.19 percent and a confidence level of 95 percent.
