There Are 7 COVID Patients In Batam City Who Are Being Treated At The Hospital, The Remaining 15 Are In Isolation

BATAM - Residents of Batam City, Riau Islands Province, who are still undergoing treatment at the hospital due to COVID-19, remaining 7 people. While the number of patients undergoing quarantine is 15 people.

Data from the Batam City COVID-19 Task Force said that 9 of the quarantine patients were self-isolating while the rest were in the Hajj Dormitory.

Based on this data, Batam City Health Service Head Didi Kusmarjadi said the total active cases of COVID-19 were 22 cases. However, today there are 4 additional patients.

The cumulative number of COVID-19 cases in Batam City since the beginning of the pandemic until now is 25,800 cases with the number of patients who have recovered as many as 24,941 people (96.67 percent) and the number of patients who died as many as 837 people (3.24 percent).

"The transmission of COVID-19 has decreased in Batam City. Now there are no areas that are in the red zone or zone of high transmission risk," Didi explained in Batam as reported by Antara, Friday, October 8.

The sub-districts on the buffer islands, Behindpadang, Bulang, and Galang, are already in the green zone, the zone without COVID-19 cases. On the main island, two of the nine sub-districts are already in the green zone, namely Batuampar and Sagulung, and the rest are in the yellow zone, a zone of low risk of transmission.

The sub-districts in the yellow zone include Seibeduk, Batuaji, Batam City, Lubukbaja, Sekupang, Bengkong, and Nongsa.
