Police With The Rank Of AKBP Buys Luxury Cars But Doesn't Pay, After Investigation It Turns Out That The Buyer Is A Fake Policeman

TANGSEL – South Tangerang City Police Satreskrim (Tangsel) arrested a fake police officer with the rank of AKBP. The fake police officer with the initials AIP is known to have committed fraud and embezzlement of a luxury car belonging to a rental car on Jalan Pajajaran Pacuan Kuda No.6 Pamulang, South Tangerang City.

The South Tangerang Police Chief, AKPB Iman Imanuddin explained, the mode used by AIP was to pretend to buy a car from a showroom. AIP buys without credit, aka full payment. This makes the victim feel confident about the figure of AIP.

Then, continued Imam, AIP again bought a car at the same place. However, said Imam, the suspect did not make payments.

"AIP bought 4 cars in the same rental without paying. It turns out that the suspects sold the cars to Central Java," explained Iman to reporters, Wednesday, September 6.

Waiting for a long time without receiving payment, the victim finally reported this incident to the South Tangerang Police. The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the South Tangerang Police, AKP Angga Surya Saputra, said the suspect was arrested in the Guci area, Tegal, Central Java.

In this arrest, said Kasat, officers confiscated seven cars, three of which were Toyota Alphards.

"When we were arrested, we found that there was a Police uniform with the rank of AKBP. When we checked with the Polda Metro Jaya, it turned out that this suspect was not a member of the police," he said.

For his actions, the suspect is charged with Article 378 of the Criminal Code with a maximum sentence of 4 years in prison, and or Article 372 of the Criminal Code with a maximum sentence of 4 years.
