Tweets About Jokowi And Ganjar, Natalius Pigai Reported To The Criminal Investigation Agency

JAKARTA - The former Commissioner of the National Human Rights Commission, Natalius Pigai, has been officially reported to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police regarding hate speech. Natalius was reported for a tweet related to Jokowi and Ganjar Pranowo via the Twitter account @NataliusPigai2.

"We have officially reported the Twitter social media account @NataliusPigai2 which is strongly suspected of being used by Natalius Pugai", said the General Chair of BaraNusa, Adi Kurniawan when confirmed, Monday, October 4.

In that tweet, Natalius Pigai wrote a call not to believe in the people of Central Java, Jokowi, and the Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo.

In the report registered with the number LP/B/0601/X/2021/SPKT/BARESKRIM POLRI, the complainant includes evidence. One of them is a screenshot of the account's tweet.

"The main evidence is a screenshot of Natalius Pigai's tweet through that account. He has also admitted in the media that it was his tweet", said Adi.

Previously, Adi also stated that one of the reasons for reporting Pigai was because his statement was very dangerous. Because it can divide the unity of the nation.

"In our opinion, it is very dangerous for the position of the integrity of the country, the unity of the nation. Because it is very vulnerable, language like this is very vulnerable. It is very difficult for us to build an Indonesian state, uniting various kinds of differences, diversity and then yes people like this, this is a threat", said Adi.

Adi said Natalius Pigai was 'poison'. The reason is that his statement could also trigger the conflict in Papua.

"So in our opinion, Pigai is poison. In fact, Pigai itself can endanger the Papuan people. Pigai can build a sharper conflict between people from the island of Java and the Papuan people. So in our opinion, it is important that Pigai is prosecuted legally", said Adi.
