Police Plan To Recruit Novel Baswedan Et Al To Become Bhayangkara Corps ASN

JAKARTA - The National Police have expressed their seriousness in recruiting 57 former KPK employees including Novel Baswedan as State Civil Apparatus (ASN) in the Bhayangkara Corps. This seriousness is shown by having prepared various plans to make it happen.

Invite Novels Etc

The Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Inspector General Argo Yuwono, stated that one of the plans that would be carried out was to invite Novel and the 56 former KPK members.

It's just that the time for the invitation to the meeting has not been conveyed clearly. The reason is that currently they are still processing and designing the recruitment mechanism by Polri's HR.

"Just wait and be informed later, it will take time," said Argo, Sunday, October 3.

So far, the National Police through the HR Assistant are still coordinating with the Ministry of State Civil Apparatus Empowerment (Menpan-RB) and the State Civil Service Agency (BKN). Later, after these efforts are completed, then the Police plan to invite the 57 former KPK employees.

Set Position Mechanism

Then, the Police are also still discussing the mechanism related to the recruitment of 57 former KPK employees who did not pass the National Insight Test (TWK). Especially about the placement for them.

"Regarding this, it will be discussed first. In this case, it is delegated to the Karo for Personnel Control (Dalpers), it will be discussed first how to recruit him," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Public Relations Division Kombes Ahmad Ramadhan.

In placing the position, the Police stated that they must be careful and thorough. This is because each of the 57 KPK employees has a different background.

That is, the difference in terms of education to career levels. So, if later officially become a National Police ASN, they will get a position according to their abilities.

"Research means don't put it wrong. It means that it can't be a high position, this is usually the same position. We don't know what it's like," said Ramadhan.

"It's like they have their respective positions. When he was in this position, what was it like, what was it like, did there have to be adjustments to the position at the KPK, it had to be discussed properly," he continued.

Deny Trap

On the other hand, the National Police also denied the growing issue regarding the recruitment. One of them is the issue of a trap, which means that the offer was made just to keep them quiet and not demand other things.

In this case, the Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Inspector General Argo Yuwono, denied the issue. He stated that the reason for this recruitment effort was to strengthen the Polri institution in terms of taking action against corruption. It is hoped that the eradication of corruption will always be maximized.

"So this is not a trap, the Police do not have a trap. But this is a need of the Police organization that we must take advantage of, from our friends, KPK employees. So this is the intention," said Argo.

Moreover, the former KPK employees, said Argo, have good skills and track records. They are expected to again help to create a corruption-free country.

"The point is that the police are serious, because with the need for organization and a good track record, the police need something like this," said Argo.

For information, on September 30, 2021, as many as 57 KPK employees who did not pass the TWK were respectfully dismissed by the KPK.

The dismissed KPK employees came from various levels of office ranging from deputy, director to functional employees and investigators such as Novel Baswedan, Yudi Purnomo, Rizka Anungata, Harun Al Rasyid, Budi Agung Nugroho and other names.
