Compact Wearing White Jackets, President Jokowi And Airlangga Review Wushu Arena At PON Papua

PAPUA - The President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo (Jokowi) inspects the wushu sports arena (sports) of the Papua PON XX Merauke cluster, at GOR Head Sai, Sunday, October 3 today.

On that occasion, Jokowi was accompanied by the Chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives Puan Maharani, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto who is also the General Chair of the Indonesian Wushu Executive Board (PBWI), and Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono.

Jokowi and Airlangga compactly wore white jackets. In addition to reviewing, the presidential entourage also took the time to watch the final match which featured various women's sanda numbers.

The first match that Jokowi witnessed, as reported by setkab.go.id, was the women's 52kg sanda class between Amanda LA Loupatty from DKI Jakarta and Rosalia Simanjuntak from North Sumatra. The match which took place in three rounds was won by Rosalia.

The next match witnessed by the president was the women's 56kg sanda match between Melisa Try Andani from Jambi and Diandra A. Pieter from DKI Jakarta. Melisa managed to overcome Diandra through a two-round match.

Finally, the president witnessed a match in the women's 60 kg sanda class between the host athlete, Moria Monalu, and Thania Kusumaningtyas, an athlete from Central Java.

Moria managed to win the fighting wushu number which lasted two rounds.

Previously, during a working visit to Merauke today, President Joko Widodo inaugurated the new terminal of Mopah Airport. Then, the President also inaugurated the Sota Integrated State Border Post (PLBN) and inspected the Sota Market.
