Before Being Transferred To The Nusakambangan Maximum Prison, Poso Group Terrorist Prisoners Say Pledge Of Allegiance To The Unitary State Of The Republic Of Indonesia

KARANGANYAR - Terrorist convict Muhammad Basri bin Barjo alias Bagong, has pledged allegiance to the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI)

The person in charge of Operations Control (PJKO) of Madago Raya who is also the Head of the Regional Police (Kapolda) of Central Sulawesi (Sulteng) Inspector General Pol Rudy Sufahriadi revealed that the oath of allegiance was carried out at the Class II A Special Prison in Karanganyar, Nusakambangan, Central Java (Central Java).

"The pledge of allegiance to the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia and the release of allegiance has been carried out by one prisoner of a terrorism case at the Class IIA Special Prison in Karanganyar Nusakambangan," Rudy told reporters in Palu City, Saturday.

Rudy explained that after making his pledge to be loyal to the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia and releasing allegiance, Basri, who was then a member of the Poso terrorist group, was immediately transferred to Block B as a period of observation and preparation before being transferred to the Nusakambangan Maximum Prison.

"Basri has changed his understanding since joining the inmate-raising program organized by the Special Task Force for Densus 88," he said.

Deputy Chairman of the Madago Raya Operations Public Relations Task Force AKBP Bronto Budiyono welcomed and appreciated the convicts who made a pledge of loyalty to the Republic of Indonesia.

He hopes that all terror convicts can do this. On the other hand, Bronto also appealed to the remaining four Poso terror groups to immediately surrender.

"Welcoming what the convicts have done because they have renounced allegiance and returned to be loyal to the Republic of Indonesia," concluded Bronto.
