Traffic Offenders In Jakarta Will Be Penned

JAKARTA - The Traffic Directorate (Ditlantas) Polda Metro Jaya will carry out obedient operations in parts of Jakarta. For this reason, people are advised to order traffic and use motorized vehicles.

Polda Metro Jaya Traffic Director, Kombes Pol. Sambodo Purnomo Yogo said that in the operation that was carried out today, Monday, July 20, his party had prepared thousands of personnel who were members of the work unit. They will take action against road users who violate it.

"We remain focused on the 15 violations that are prone to accidents," said Kombes Pol. Sambono was quoted on Monday 20 July.

He emphasized that his party has also conducted mapping of areas prone to violations. Thus, his party is ready to deploy thousands of members to a number of locations.

"Members are ready and we hope that the community can be more orderly in traffic if they don't want to be ticketed," said Dirlantas.

Separately, the Head of Sub-Directorate for Development and Law Enforcement of the Metro Jaya Police Traffic Directorate, AKBP Fahri said, the prosecution would begin in the morning and be carried out throughout the day.

"The basis for this firm action is because violations have increased since the transitional PSBB was implemented," said AKBP Fahri.

According to him, what his staff were doing was to improve public discipline in traffic. The hope is, after this firm action, traffic offenders will also be reduced.
