Ahead Of His Dismissal, Yudi Purnomo Came To The Committee For The Committee For The Commission's Employees' Meeting For The Last Time

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) inactive investigator Yudi Purnomo Harahap said he had attended the last meeting of the KPK Employees Committee and received a photo of himself as a souvenir.

This was told by Yudi through his Twitter account @yudiharahap46. The chairman of the KPK Employee Forum is one of 57 employees who will be dismissed on September 30 for failing the National Insight Test Assessment (TWK).

"My last WP management meeting as Chairman of the KPK WP, thank you for this memory," Yudi wrote in a thread quoted on Wednesday, September 29.

Even though September 30 is only a matter of hours, he believes he can return to work to eradicate corruption with his colleagues at the KPK's Red and White House.

"The belief through this all still remains, the optimism when he was an investigator to go directly to deal with corruption suspects. Only 2 days left but anything can happen," said Yudi.

"I still believe we will be back with you again to eradicate corruption as a family, not just colleagues," he added.

It was previously reported that 57 KPK employees were dismissed because they did not qualify as ASN according to the mandate of the KPK Law Number 19 of 2019. The employees included senior KPK investigators Novel Baswedan and Ambarita Damanik, Chairman of the KPK Employee Forum Yudi Purnomo, KPK investigator Harun Al-Rasyid, and dozens of other names.

The anti-corruption commission argued that their inability to become ASN was not due to laws and regulations such as Perkom KPK Number 1 of 2021 but because of the results of their TWK assessment. Not only that, the KPK also ensures that employees have been given the same opportunities even if they have passed the age limit or have stopped being ASN.

However, the decision caused a polemic considering the discovery of a number of maladministration and abuse of authority in the TWK process by the Indonesian Ombudsman. Not only that, Komnas HAM also found violations of 11 employees' rights.

Thus, this is a polemic because the KPK and the State Civil Service Agency (BKN) do not want to follow up on corrective actions or recommendations issued by the Indonesian Ombudsman and Komnas HAM, respectively.

In addition, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) is also silent on the recommendations that have been given by the two institutions and has argued that he does not want to be withdrawn in institutional matters.
