TUBAN - A man with the initials B (35), a resident of the hamlet of Tambakrejo, Rengel sub-district, Tuban regency, East Java, killed his neighbor K (44) for no reason. He claimed to have magical whispers while sleeping.
Tuban Police Chief AKBP Darman said the murder took place on Saturday, September 25, at the victim's house not far from the suspect's house.
Before carrying out the action, the suspect, who was sleeping in his house, admitted that he had received a supernatural whisper to kill the victim. The suspect then got up and rushed to the victim's house.
Arriving near the victim's house, the suspect took a wooden block about 60 cm long. After that, the suspect entered the victim's house, which happened to be open.
Seeing the victim was relaxing, the suspect immediately hit the victim's head repeatedly. As a result, the victim suffered open wounds to the forehead and left temple which caused the victim to die on the spot.
"So this suspect was sleeping and felt that he was being prompted to kill the victim, then he got up and went to the victim's house carrying a wooden block and immediately hit the victim's head repeatedly as a result, the victim immediately died on the spot," said AKBP Darman at a press conference, Monday, 27 September.
The police will examine the perpetrator's psyche to determine whether there is a mental illness.
