Ady Baper Clarifies The Viral Of The Old Porter Of The Port Of Makassar Who Makes Him Feel Sorry For Carrying A Lot Of Passenger Goods

MAKASSAR - Ady Nugraha, known as Ady Baper, clarified the viral video of the grandfather porter of Anging Mamiri, Makassar, South Sulawesi. He explained the actual incident related to the video which attracted a lot of sympathy from social media users.

In his clarification video, Ady Baper explained that he had indeed recorded the activities of the old porter on Saturday, September 25 at the Anging Mamiri Port, Makassar.

"I have recorded and uploaded a video that has gone viral on social media, especially on my TikTok account," he said in the video quoted by VOI, Monday, September 27.

Initially in the video, Ady Baper explained that this porter carried a lot of luggage from a passenger's mother who was later identified as Ramlah. Ady Baper also at the beginning of uploading said that the mother gave Rp. 50,000 to the porters.

“The video does not correspond to the actual reality. With this, I have met with the family and mother in the video, and we discussed and clarified in a family manner. I, Ady Nugraha, admit my mistake as the party who first uploaded it,” continued Ady Baper.

There are two points to be clarified. First, the goods transported by the porters did not only belong to the mother recorded in Ady Baper's video.

"Only two items, a brown bag with a red pocket and the rest of the items that you picked up were items from different people, which you picked up (the property of) 2 different people, another passenger," continued Ady Baper.

The second point is about wages. Ady Baper said that the mother who entrusted her luggage to a porter at the Anging Mamiri Port in Makassar gave Rp. 100,000, not Rp. 50,000, as Ady Baper said when the video was first uploaded.

"I need to clarify that the fee that you pay to the workers is not Rp. 50,000 but Rp. 100,000," said Ady Baper.

"With this incident, I realize that uploading the video is not based on the fact that I did not ask permission from the parties in the video," continued Ady Baper apologizing.
