JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan has completed his clarification in the alleged defamation case with reported Haris Azhar and Fatia Maulidianti. In the process, Luhut also attached 12 pieces of evidence.

"We submitted approximately 12 pieces of evidence," said Luhut's lawyer, Juniver Girsang, to reporters, Monday, September 27.

Dozens of evidence were attached, for example, subpoena files to flash disks containing video content that became the basis for reporting. With this evidence, it is hoped that the investigators will be able to convince the investigators that the two reported parties fulfill the criminal element.

"We attach our good faith subpoena which was not responded to and answers that are not relevant to our summons and we also attach a youtube flash disk which is proof of the untrue statement," said Juniver.

"So everything is transparent, we have submitted all the evidence so that there is no confusion," he continued.

On the other hand, Juniver said that his client also advised that there should be no intervention in this case. The goal is that all the accusations made are proven wrong and their good name is restored.

"He said earlier that this process should not be intervened and I came as an Indonesian citizen seeking justice because my good name, my honor has been tarnished and resulted in my descendants and my family not accepting the untruth that has been conveyed," he said.

Luhut reported Haris Azhar and Fatia Maulidianti to the Polda Metro Jaya. The report relates to allegations of defamation.

In addition, Luhut's reason for reporting was because there was no good faith from Haris Azhar and Fatia. In fact, they have been summoned twice.

The report has been registered with the number STTLP/B/4702/IX/2021/SPKT/POLDA METRO JAYA, 22 September 2021. In the report, the reported parties are suspected of violating Article 45 in conjunction with Article 27 of the ITE Law. Not only criminal, Luhut will also sue Haris Azhar and Fatia Maulidianti in a civil manner.
