Update On COVID-19 As Of July 15: Addition Of Positive Confirmation Cases And Healing From Competing Competition

JAKARTA - Government spokesman for the handling of COVID-19, Achmad Yurianto, explained the progress of the special examination results as of July 15. Today 24,871 specimens have been examined and resulted in 1,522 new positive people.

With these additions, the total number of positive confirmed cases reached 80,094 people. This number is from more than one million specimens that have been examined since last March.

"We have received 1,522 positive cases of COVID-19, until now the total is 80,094," said Yuri at Graha BNPB, Jakarta, Wednesday, July 15.

From the addition, the most spread or transmission is still in three provinces, namely, East Java, Central Java, and DKI Jakarta. The three provinces each contributed more than one hundred positive confirmed cases.

"Central Java reported 261 new cases but also reported 120 cured cases, DKI Jakarta 260 new cases and 193 recovering people, East Java today reported 165 new cases and 521 people," said Yuri.

Meanwhile, patients who recovered also experienced additional or tight competition with positive confirmed cases. Today, 1,414 people have recovered after undergoing medical treatment. Until now, the total number of people healed is 39,050

This is because there are 6 provinces that reported no additional positive confirmed cases but it was determined that the cases were cured. In addition, 17 Provinces also reported positive confirmed cases below the number 10. Moreover, East Java Province contributed more than five hundred cases of recovery.

"The total recovered cases that we get today are 1,414 people, so the total recovery is 39,050," said Yuri.

Meanwhile, for cases of death increased by 87 people with a total of 3,797 people. So far, 463 districts / cities from 34 provinces in Indonesia have been affected and 47,859 people are categorized as suspect cases.

"The cases we are monitoring are 47,859 suspected cases, this is what we are currently monitoring and we will continue to closely monitor the development of suspected cases," Yuri concluded.
