JAKARTA - Investigators of the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes at the Attorney General's Office confiscated a land area of 26,765 square meters (m2) belonging to the President Director of PT Rimo Internasional Lestari Tbk, Teddy Tjokcrosaputro, a suspect in the alleged corruption case of PT Asabri.

"The confiscated land covers an area of 26,765 square meters in the form of four plots of land and/or buildings," said Head of the Attorney General's Office for Legal Information, Leonard Eben Ezer Simanjuntak, quoted by Antara, Thursday, September 23.

Leonard said the location of the confiscated assets was in Tanjung Pinang City, Riau Islands (Kepri).

The confiscation of assets belonging to the suspect Asabri, said Leonard, has received a determination from the Chairperson of the Tanjung Pinang District Court Class IA Number: 59/Pen.Pid.Sus-TPK/2021/PN.Tpg dated September 22, 2021, which basically gave permission to investigators from the Attorney General's Office to confiscate.

The confiscated land assets each consist of one plot of land and or a building covering an area of 1,700 m2. Then, 3,568 m2, 3,117 m2, and 18,380 m2. It is also known that all of Teddy's land assets are in the name of PT Tanjung Pinang Sakti.

"Against the assets of the suspects that have been confiscated, an assessment will then be carried out by the Public Appraisal Service Office (KJPP) to be calculated as saving state financial losses in the next process," said Leonard.

Previously, investigators at the Roundabout had also confiscated two units of Teddy's BMW type 520i luxury car, which was on behalf of PT Rimo on Monday (13/9). The two cars with police license numbers B-1136-SAQ and B-1347-SAO have been deposited at Asabri's head office in Jakarta.

The Director of Jampdisus Investigations at the Attorney General's Office, Supardi, said that his party had dispatched a team to track down the assets of the Asabri suspects throughout Indonesia.

Until now, the nominal assets of the suspect Asabri that have been confiscated are Rp. 15.2 trillion. This figure is still far from the state losses caused by mega-corruption with 13 suspects and 10 investment managers, amounting to Rp22.78 trillion.
