Sadistic Slasher Husband And Wife In Tulungagung Sued For Life In Prison

TULUNGAGUNG - The Tulungagung District Prosecutor's Office has filed a request for a life sentence against the defendant Begi Nurjianto for stabbing a husband and wife.

"Yesterday the public prosecutor read out the indictment in front of the panel of judges who heard this case (at the Tulungagung District Court)," said Tulungagung District Attorney's Head of Intelligence Tri Radityo, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, September 22.

There are many aggravating things that the prosecutor considers. Apart from the planned stabbing, Begi Nurjianto was judged to have shown no remorse and never apologized.

Begi also carried out brutal persecution, accompanied by previous terror to the victim's house.

Begi's criminal actions are considered to meet the criminal elements as stated in Article 340 of the Criminal Code.

"Based on the facts at trial, the public prosecutor is of the opinion that the actions taken by Begi will be prosecuted for life," he said.

The claim is said by the Supreme Court to have gone through a plan of prosecution to the Attorney General's Office. This claim is a cumulative of the two articles imposed, namely Articles 340 and 351 paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code.

The stabbing incident started when Begi threw stones at the canopy of Yusman's house, Saturday, April 24 evening. Begi was reprimanded by Sumarmi, who was at home at that time.

When her husband came home, Sumarmi complained about Begi's actions. Getting a report from his wife, Yusman then went to see Begi. However, Yusman's reprimand was met with a scythe by Begi.

Sumarni, who wanted to help Yusman, did not escape Begi's scythe. After slashing his neighbour, Begi casually went home carrying a sickle, then sat on the terrace of his house. Meanwhile, Sumarmi's screams invited local residents to come.

Residents found Yusman suffered injuries to the right side of his head and above his left ear. Meanwhile, Sumarmi severed her left thumb and had a stab wound to the head. Both were immediately taken to Dr. Iskak Hospital for medical treatment. However, Yusman could not be helped and died.
