DEPOK - Heavy rain accompanied by strong winds that occurred on Tuesday, September 21, caused three elementary school (SD) buildings in Depok City to be heavily damaged.

Head of the Facilities and Infrastructure (Sapras) Division of the Depok City Education Office (Disdik), Sutarno said, heavy rains and strong winds resulted in three public elementary school (SDN) buildings in Depok City, namely SDN Sukamaju 3, SDN Sukamaju 9 and SDN Mekarjaya 20.

"We are inventorying the damage from the tornado. On average, roof tiles and ceilings are damaged," said Sutarno when confirmed, Wednesday, September 22.

Meanwhile, the head of SDN Sukamaju 3, Rosana Nurdiani, revealed that her school was heavily damaged by the incident.

"SDN roof tiles and ceilings were damaged and three rooms were flooded due to leaking roof tiles," he added.

He hopes that the Depok City Government will immediately repair it considering that the rainy season has entered.

"We hope that this SDN will be repaired soon, moreover, soon the school will start face-to-face learning," he concluded.
