12 Hours Examined By KPK At The Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police, East Kolaka Regent Andi Merya Nur Immediately Taken To Jakarta

KENDARI - The regent of East Kolaka, Southeast Sulawesi (Sulawesi), Andi Merya Nur, has been investigated by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) task force team after being caught in a sting operation (OTT).

The female regent, who has only served for three months, was questioned for 12 hours at the Special Criminal Investigation Directorate of the Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police in Kendari. He was questioned along with five other people who were caught OTT.

The six came out of two different doors, where the Regent of East Kolaka Andi Merya Nur came out of the door at the end of the building, while the other five people came out of a different door.

Regent Andi Merya Nur came out wearing a patterned headscarf, a yellow shirt covered with a gray jacket, wearing black trousers and flip-flops accompanied by a man and rushed up to a four-wheeled minibus with the police number DT-1850-CA.

The regent and five other people will reportedly be flown to Jakarta by the KPK using Batik Air at around 15:45 WITA.

Based on information compiled, East Kolaka Regent Andi Merya Nur was arrested by the KPK on Tuesday, September 21 evening in the Rate-rate sub-district, East Kolaka.

After being caught by OTT, East Kolaka Regent Andi Merya Nur was immediately brought by the KPK to the Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police for examination.

The regent arrived at the Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police on Wednesday, September 22 in the morning at around 02.00 WITA using a four-wheeled vehicle.

The Head of the Sub-Division of Public Relations for the Public Relations of the Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police, Kompol Dolfi Kumaseh in Kendari, said the regent was examined along with five of his staff.

Meanwhile, regarding what cases were examined and what evidence was secured, said Dolfi, it was up to the KPK to explain.

Dolfi said that after the examination, East Kolaka Regent Andi Merya Nur would be flown to Jakarta this afternoon.

"Today it will be examined and the plan is to bring it to Jakarta," he said, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, September 22.
