The Wealth Of The East Kolaka Regent Netted By The KPK OTT Turns Out To Be Only Like This

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) held a hand arrest operation (OTT) in East Kolaka, Southeast Sulawesi on Tuesday, September 21. In this activity, a number of parties were arrested for allegedly committing criminal acts, including the Regent of East Kolaka Andi Merya.

So how much wealth does Andi have?

The regent who served for these two terms turned out to only have assets of Rp478,078,198.

In the LHKPN that he reported on September 9, 2020, Andi was not recorded as having a four-wheeled or two-wheeled vehicle. He is only recorded as having assets in the form of land covering an area of 8,000 square meters in East Kolaka without a deed with a value of Rp. 90 million.

In addition, he is noted to have other movable assets with a value of Rp374,400,000 and cash equivalents with a value of Rp13,678,198.

Previously reported, the Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Firli Bahuri confirmed the existence of a Hand Catching Operation (OTT) in East Kolaka, Southeast Sulawesi.

Although he did not reveal who was arrested, he ensured that the anti-corruption commission would not be indiscriminate.

"Whoever the perpetrator is, we will not discriminate if there is sufficient evidence," said Firli in a written statement to reporters, Wednesday, September 22.

The former deputy for prosecution of the Corruption Eradication Commission also ensured that the prosecution team would continue to work to collect information and evidence related to alleged criminal acts committed by a number of parties.

Thus, Firli asked the community to give time for his subordinates to work and reveal the facts behind the arrests of a number of parties in East Kolaka.

"KPK continues to work to collect information and evidence. Please give us time to work, later the KPK will provide a complete explanation after the collection of information and evidence has been completed," he said.

"Because we work based on evidence and with that evidence, it is clear that a criminal case of corruption and finding the suspect is clear," added Firli.

KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement, Ali Fikri, confirmed that the KPK had arrested him on Tuesday, September 21 at around 20.00 WIB. A number of parties who were successfully ensnared in the silent operation are being asked for their statements regarding the alleged violations of corruption.

Furthermore, the KPK has 1x24 hours to determine the legal status of the parties involved in the OTT. Further developments will be communicated further.
