JAKARTA - The Mayor of Semarang, Hendar Prihadi, chose not to use the Toyota Camry H 1 A. He chose to use his private car to support his daily activities.

Hendi, the nickname of Hendar Prihadi, invited his citizens to use his official car for marriage purposes. This was announced by the mayor of Semarang via his Instagram account @ HendrarPrihadi.

No, the PDI-P politician will prepare the driver and fuel for free, aka free. Therefore, for young couples in Semarang who get married, they don't need to bother preparing more funds to rent a wedding car.

Interestingly, people who later use Hendi's official car will also use the H 1 A number plate, which is usually used for Semarang Mayor's official activities.

Hendi explained, for people who want to use their official car for weddings on Saturdays and Sundays, it is enough to send a letter of application to him.

"Oh yes, the mechanism has to be proposed, so that it is transparent, for example within the stipulated time someone wants to use it or not," said Semarang Mayor Hendi, Tuesday, July 14.

"All people can borrow, but we prioritize Semarang residents, the location of the wedding in Semarang, the free car, the driver, the fuel. So later in the field there is nothing else to give," he stressed.

But on the other hand, Hendi also advised that the wedding activities he meant had to be in accordance with the standard operational health procedures established during the pandemic. He emphasized that this should not be ruled out in carrying out wedding activities, especially in the city of Semarang.

"In essence, we want a variety of happiness in the midst of this pandemic, so please people who want to use it to carry out the contract or wedding activities, but still with the scope of paying attention to health SOPs of course," said Hendi.

Apart from that, Hendi also did not use some of the facilities prepared for him as Mayor of Semarang. Call it the official house on Jalan Abdul Rahman Saleh, Semarang City, which he never occupied.

He chose to live in his private house in the Lempongsari area, Semarang City. During the pandemic, Hendi's official residence also functioned as a quarantine house for COVID-19 sufferers.
