JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said that 57 employees who were dismissed because they did not pass the National Insight Test Assessment (TWK) did not receive severance pay and pensions.

This was conveyed in response to the inactive Director of Socialization and Anti-Corruption Campaign of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Giri Suprapdiono, who admitted that he did not receive severance pay or benefits.

"KPK employees who were dismissed with honor do not receive severance pay and pension," said Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement Affairs Ali Fikri in Jakarta, Tuesday, September 21.

Even so, the anti-corruption commission said it would provide Old Age Allowance (ENT) in lieu of pension benefits. Ali explained that the allowance is a cash fund given by the KPK to advisors and employees as a guarantee of welfare at the end of their term of service or retirement.

In addition, the KPK will also provide other benefits or facilities that are part of the benefits of participating in the THT program, the amount of which is determined by the KPK. The management is carried out together with BPJS Ketenagakerjaan and the appointed third party.

Furthermore, the implementation of THT is regulated in detail through Commission Regulation (Perkom) Number 2 of 2018 concerning Old Age Allowances for Advisors and Employees and the Decree of the Secretary General of the KPK Number 390 of 2018 concerning Allocation of Old Age Allowance Contributions for the Advisory Team / KPK Employees.

The amount of the monthly THT contribution is 16 percent, which is calculated based on the salary whose components consist of 13 percent from the APBN and 3 percent from employee contributions whose contributions are collected since someone is appointed as an employee.

"The fulfillment of this financial right is a form of compliance with the law as well as an appreciation for the professionalism, service and dedication of KPK personnel while carrying out the task of eradicating corruption at the KPK," said Ali.

As previously reported, Giri Suprapdiono said that he and 56 employees who were fired as a result of the National Insight Test Assessment (TWK) would not receive severance pay or benefits.

According to him, employees will only receive old-age benefits and BPJS disbursement which has been previously deducted from their salaries. This was conveyed through a thread on his Twitter account, @girisuprapdiono.

"The 57 KPK employees who were fired were without severance pay and no pension at all. But the decree to dismiss the chairman of the KPK reads as if they are providing benefits, even though it is our own savings in the form of old-age benefits and BPJS," wrote Giri quoted on Monday, September 20. .

He then compared his fate and that of dozens of other KPK employees who will be expelled by the end of September with factory workers. Giri said that factory workers who were fired from their jobs only received severance pay.

He also mentioned that dozens of employees who had struggled to eradicate corruption were now being dumped like trash. "Even though they have been instrumental in saving state money from corruptors who steal hundreds of trillions," said Giri.

Not only that, the gesture to provide old-age benefits and distribute them to SOEs is also considered a trick by the KPK leaders. So, it must be resisted.
