Kemendikbudristek Accelerates Cooperation With China's Best Campus

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) through the Directorate General of Higher Education Research and Technology has accelerated collaboration with China's best campuses.

"We have had a good relationship from the start. We believe that this collaboration will be able to increase cooperation between the two countries," said Director General of Higher Education, Prof. Nizam, in a webinar in Jakarta, reported by Antara, Thursday, September 16.

The collaboration between campuses in the country is carried out with Chinese campuses which are ranked 100 in the world. Previously in 2015, the Indonesian government signed a memorandum of understanding in the field of education. Especially in welcoming the 21st century in the Asian region," he explained.

Nizam explained that the Ministry of Education and Culture and the Merdeka Campus encourages campuses to collaborate with campuses abroad. For students, programs such as Campus Teaching, micro-credentials, student exchanges, empowerment programs, and internships are also provided.

It aims to bring students closer to the industrial world and the real world. Through the Merdeka Campus program, it is hoped that graduates can have the competencies needed both in the business world and the world of work.

Secretary General of Diktiristek, Paristiyanti Nurwardani said Indonesia and China have cooperation in the field of education and also the provision of scholarships for Indonesian students.

Paris hopes that through this collaboration, it can increase cooperation between universities in the country and universities in China, both in the fields of learning, capacity building and research.
