COVID-19 Update As Of July 10: Cases Healed Nearly 3 Times The Deaths

JAKARTA - Government spokesman for the handling of COVID-19, Achmad Yurianto explained the progress of the case as of Friday, July 10 at 12.00 WIB. There were an additional 1,611 confirmed positive cases today. The total number of positive cases became 72,347 people.

Then, 52 people died today, bringing the total to 3,469 patients. There were an additional 814 patients recovered, bringing the total to 33,529 patients. When viewed, the ratio of accumulated cases recovered is almost three times greater than cases of COVID-19 deaths.

If you look at the distribution of data on recovered cases, there are 11 provinces that report recovery rates that are higher than new cases. The highest number of recoveries today was in Central Java, which reported that only 100 were confirmed positive but there were 138 people who recovered.

Then, Maluku had 13 new cases but 22 recovered, Banten had only 13 new cases, but 22 recovered cases, Southeast Sulawesi had 7 new cases but 20 recovered.

Then, Aceh reported no new cases but 5 recovered, Bangka Belitung no new cases but 1 healed, Jambi no new cases but 3 recovered, North Kalimantan no new cases but 1 healed, Central Sulawesi no new cases but 1 recovered, Riau had no new cases but 1 healed.

"This picture shows that the number of recovered cases will continue to increase over time," said Yuri at Graha BNPB, East Jakarta, Friday, July 10.

Meanwhile, the province with the highest number of new cases today is DKI Jakarta with 260 new cases and a total of 13,739 cases. Then, East Java has 246 new cases and 15,730 cases. East Java is the province with the highest accumulation of COVID-19 cases in Indonesia.

Then, the provinces with other high new cases are in North Sulawesi with 134 cases and a total of 1,570 cases, North Sumatra with 112 new cases and 2,197 total cases, West Java with 105 new cases and a total of 4,951 cases, and Central Java with 100 new cases and a total of 5,303 cases.

Of the 34 provinces that reported, 17 provinces reported new cases under 10. Of these provinces, 9 of them reported that today there were no additional new cases.

"Provinces that report no new cases are Aceh, Bangka Belitung, Jambi, West Kalimantan, North Kalimantan, Riau Islands, Central Sulawesi, Riau and East Nusa Tenggara," he said.

Furthermore, the total number of specimens that had been examined was accumulatively as many as 1,015,678. In detail, 989,747 specimens were examined using real time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and 25,931 specimens were examined using a molecular rapid test (TCM).

This examination was carried out in 161 active RT-PCR laboratories, 115 TCM laboratories, and 297 network laboratories. The rate of positive cases was 12.1 percent of all examinations carried out.

Then, the data on patients under surveillance (PDP) which are currently still under surveillance reached 13,882 people. Meanwhile, people under monitoring (ODP) who are currently still being monitored reach 38,705.
